Treats and chews often have more calories than you think. As a rule of thumb, rewards make up no more than about 10 % of the daily ration. Take them off the food amount, then your dog stays slim and you restock less often.

How to save on dog treats

Treats are often bought on the side and at full price. These four levers make every reward cheaper.

  1. Big bags instead of small packs

    Chews like bully sticks or rabbit ears are much cheaper per piece in a 1 kg bag. Stored dry and airtight, many treats keep for months.

  2. Order treats with the food

    Add the treats to your food order. That makes it easier to reach free shipping and you can use one code on the whole basket.

  3. Trial sets for new flavours

    Many shops offer trial packs with several flavours, often with a new customer discount. That way you find out what your dog likes before you buy in bulk.
