How we counted and what the report does not show

Method

  • Basis: all codes active on promocodesforpets.com on 26 October 2026, 115 listed shops from Germany, Austria and Switzerland.
  • Checks: every code is checked by hand before publication and synced daily with the affiliate networks AWIN and ADCELL.
  • Discount size: the percentage stated in the code, for “up to” offers the highest value. Fixed amounts, free shipping and free items are not counted in the percentages.
  • Pet and category: as classified on our site. Shops with several pets count for each pet.
  • Median as main value: a few very high sale discounts distort the average.
  • Same rules in every edition, so the editions can be compared. Each edition stays unchanged in the archive.
  • Prices: official consumer price index from Destatis, not our own data.

What this report does not show

  • It reflects the shops on Promo Codes for Pets, not the whole market. Large retailers without an affiliate programme are missing.
  • It measures the promised discount, not the actual saving in the cart. We do not compare prices before the discount.
  • Each edition is a snapshot of one reference date (this one: 26 October 2026). Codes can change between the dates.
  • Transparency: many shops pay us a commission when you buy via our links. This has no influence on the figures, they come unchanged from our code database.
